Information

  • Students will be measured starting in September.
  • Costumes not paid for will not be ordered.
  • All costume fees are non-refundable.
  • Custom costumes - your first costume fee will be used to cover that costume.
  • Once costumes arrive in your hands, they become your responsibility - new alterations, cleaning, steaming etc.
  • At any show, costumes must be presentable. This means they cannot be wrinkled, and cannot have any parts missing, please double check all your costume pieces before every performance.
  • Costume Prices range from $89–$150. I do my best to get you the best costume and price I can find. Each costume will include a stone fee if necessary.
  • Group costumes are chosen or designed by the teachers. When possible, we may “re-use” costumes to save money.
  • Expect to do some hand sewing to finish the costume off so it is specific to your child (sew straps, tack belt, etc.)
  • Many costumes are not custom made to fit each dancer, but are based on a size chart. The studio is not responsible for alterations.
  • Rhinestoning costumes can be done together at the studio in January.
  • All hats should fit snugly. You can make them smaller with weather stripping, newspaper, tissue paper, etc.
  • Please keep up costumes by replacing stones, reinforcing loose straps, cutting runaway fringe, etc.
  • Be sure all hats, chokers and other accessories are secure!
  • Take pride in your costumes and take care of them properly, they are very expensive. Costumes are like a flat screen TV. They are expensive you want them to last, so don’t put anything on them, don’t throw them around, keep them clean, keep them away from liquids or other hazards.
